Hi! I’m Chloe, I’m 25 and I live on the Cambridgeshire/Lincolnshire border.
I work at Tower Equine Vets as a yard groom 4 days a week, which is varied between doing their private family horses, riding & a little bit of vet practice work such as helping with gastroscopes, Xrays & lameness assessments which is all very interesting!
Unfortunately due to Covid-19 I’m unable to go to work at the moment so I am keeping myself busy at home on the yard & farm.
In my spare time I showjump. I’ve competed to 1.30 national level & 2* international level, including wins in the Young horse classes in the UK & abroad. I currently have 3 lovely young horses, a 6yo grey Zangersheide mare (Regolia Van De Cruyenvelden Z), a 5yo chestnut Belgian Warmblood gelding (P Quidos Van Het Maarlo) and a 4yo bay Zangersheide gelding (Versace DK Z).
I also have a 5yo Danish mare on livery for production for Charlotte (the owner of Eventus Bedding), who arrived last month and I named Dobby the elf due to her little structure & character! Dobby is related to my old horse H Blokx who was my horse of a lifetime so we have big hopes for Dobby!
In my earlier years (9yo-20yo) I used to do showing and working hunter to RIHS & HOYS level with several ponies. I eventually started affiliated jumping in 2015 when I bought a young horse which had already showjumped so thought we’d give it a go – I’ve never looked back!! I look forward to hopefully soon getting back to normal, being able to go to work and not snacking on so much bad food!!! But mostly being able to go back to shows again as I’m missing them massively – which of course any stay away shows I’ll be taking my Eventus Bedding shavings along with us!! It’s great to have the support of such a fantastic business, who have created a top quality product for the customers at a good price too. Very excited for more products to come out soon which will have the same high quality.
Chloe x
